The original Adicolor was a white shoe packaged with markers that the wearer would customize to their own tastes. Although artistically inclined sneaker fans had been customizing their own shoes, for a major brand to embrace and work with the concept on a larger scale was a radical move. The Adicolor was a cult favorite and a major collectable object for years.
In 2005-06, Adidas introduced an expansive Adicolor tribute range, where each color would have its own specific items attached to it. It was another success, and it showed that the Adicolor concept still resonated.
Adicolor’s newest form references plays with the notion of everyone’s individual tastes being catered to. Instead of providing a blank canvas, the new Adicolor range offers classic silhouettes in a myriad of color possibilities. If there’s a color you want, there is an Adicolor to match.
If a size is not listed, it is sold out.
