It used to be that wearing sweatpants outside of your own home, for any other purpose besides legitimate physical exertion was frowned upon, if not openly scorned. In the immortal words of Jerry to George, the message conveyed by sweatpants was “I give up; I can’t compete in normal society.”
With all due respect to the legendary show about nothing and their formidable swoosh archive, they just didn’t have the likes of these sweatpants back then. The modern, fitted cut, performance material, and reflective camouflage pattern are infinitely more style than schlub.
If you’re going to pass on these, simply for propriety’s sake, we have to ask, in the words of another Costanza classic, “because of society, right?”
If a size is not listed, it is sold out.
