The Air Trainer 1 was one of the earliest examples of a cross training shoe, a sneaker that could provide functional support across a variety of athletic training activities, eliminating the need for someone training across disciplines to change shoes in the middle of a workout.
Since its inception, the Air Trainer 1 has become a fashion staple, but that hasn’t stopped Nike from applying the shoe’s original ethos to a leisure sensibility. The upper features a traditional white, grey, and navy colorway, in a mixture of denim and corduroy. The textiles are accented by the more familiar sneaker materials of premium leather and suede, allowing you to transition between active and nothing in particular without changing shoes.
