When Tinker Hatfield was working on the Jordan 11 ahead of the 1995-96 NBA season, Michael Jordan’s first full comeback season, his vision of a never before seen basketball shoe design led to the inclusion of prominently featured, glossy patent leather. The sheen, along with the 11’s curvy lines were inspired by the glamorous world of sports cars. But even though it wasn’t on anyone’s mind during the original design process, the patent leather sure comes in handy for an Easter timed release of the iconic model.
A dressed up edition of the Jordan 11 is here to simultaneously satisfy your love for sneakers and the need to dress things up. The standard ballistic mesh upper has been swapped for white leather, while a dark green patent leather adds a seasonally appropriate gloss.
