I had the incredible honor of playing a set with two of the most talented producer/ DJs in hip hop history this past spring. I only regret that I wasn’t keeping an eye on the equipment and only was able to capture 20 minutes of Just Blaze’s set since it was pure gold. He ran though some of his most iconic productions for Roc-A-Fella and through the magic of Serato cue points, rebuilt the “Roc Da Mic” beat as if he were playing an MPC set. DJ 7L opens this live recording up with a classic party rocking selection spanning avant-garde kraut rock, to seminal house and dancehall. As one of the godfathers of the scene, his production has led him to one of the most interesting projects in recent hip hop history - CZARFACE, a collaboration with 7L, Esoteric and Inspectah Deck.
